Sunday morning started with an early morning alarm in Vienna, last minute packing, and breakfast in the apartment before we headed out to the Vienna (VIE) airport. After an Uber ride to the airport, we took a few minutes to check in and went to find our gate.
Goodbye, Vienna!

The KLM planes we were on that touched down in Vienna and then again left from Vienna had two points of entry - one traditional door in the front of the plane, and one door in use in that back of the plane that loaded from the ground. |

We made it to Amsterdam on a smooth flight (where I think most of us slept much of the way), walked around the Amsterdam airport a bit on the layover, then it was time to board our flight to MSP. |
Ben being an all around fun guy and making the girls crack up before boarding the plane to MSP... I saw this same scene often on this trip! :)

Cool plane! |

Back at MSP... home sweet home! |

And back home again... it is spring break week and everyone on our trip had different plans - some staying in town, like me and my family, and others going on different trips out of state with their families. The morning after we got home my kids asked if we could go to Mall of America and go on some rides to kick off our spring break week off. I was tired and jet lagged, but life goes on and so off to MOA I went. It was hard to believe that just about 24 hours earlier I had been in Vienna, Austria! My daughters kept commenting to me about how I looked tired and was I going to be okay...? :) |

And, that's a wrap! I enjoyed updating this blog for our CFE 2019 Slovakia/Hungary/Austria adventures, and I hope you also enjoyed following along from home. Thanks to all the students that decided this was the trip for them to join for this CFE 2019 experience - we couldn't have done this special and unique trip without you! Parents, thank you for supporting your students in their adventurous spirit to try something new and travel to Europe. For many in this group, your support and prayers have been life changing and may lead to exciting things in the future that might have not happened if they didn't have this experience for CFE.
***Also, I would ask everyone reading this that's connected to MA to consider hosting one of the C.S. Lewis students that come and study at MA each fall semester. They really appreciate you opening your home to them, and it is an experience that can also enrich your family as well - a definite win-win experience for all involved.***
One final thanks to all for your support and prayers for this trip - it was wonderful! Signing off... until next time! ✈ |
